are there any nursing homes in denton? I would love to work in dallas but after ready some of the older posts i feel driving back and forth from dallas to denton would be madness. I dont think we will be moving to denton though, i just found a good doctor in denton (dr. cummings) and im trying to stay close to denton. What would you guys think a good place for my family and i would be? We are a family of 4 with one school aged child and two dogs. We will be renting and our max rent would be $650 a month if possible. I dont know how much CNA's get paid down there but we pay $595 here in westland, mi for a 2bedroom apt. And i get paid $10hr doing home health care here. I dont know if it would be better to drive everywhere or use public transportation down there in texas.

We would like a house or duplex for rent because of our dogs, we would like outdoor space. and a good headstart and elementary school for our daughter.

Public transportation that far out is non-existant - my son lives nearby and I've been there a number of times.

CNAs in Texas nursing homes usually make $11-12 hourly. SOme places pay more for very experienced aides.

Here is the Texas Dept of Aging's website. LTC QRS Home - English
THey are the quality monitors for nursing homes in Texas. You can search by city and see the facilities' ratings, etc.

There are about a billion nursing homes in and around Denton. Take your pick.
