Stumbled onto this gem on the Style network tonight. Spin-off of last year's Dallas Divas & Daughters featuring more no name "Dallas socialites".

The premiere tonight featured one woman trying to get membership into a fancy, prestigious country club.....which I didn't recognize or never had heard of. The owner of the club, a Louis Scoma, was on the episode. Googled him and he owns a couple of clubs way out in the burbs...not exactly where the Dallas socialites are clammoring for membership. Another Park Cities mother/daughter duo is on the show- yet when their home was shown, it was in an Uptown high-rise (rental) so I guess parents are divorced and dad lives in HPISD?

Good gracious, hope this thing gets cancelled. I have never been to a real black tie gala in Dallas where two women are screaming at each other - including the lovely phrase "stuck up your a$$" at the too of their lungs in front of other guests. Never been to one with this many - or any- visible tattoos either.

At least the Most Eligible Dallas (premiering next month) actually signed on some legitimate socialites who actually go to the real Dallas society events.

Oh, hysterical! Just caught the beginning of the rerun. As it turns out, "the most prestigious country club in DALLAS" (verbatim from the show's opening) is actually in Fort Worth, exactly 34.2 miles west of the real most prestigious country club (DCC). And not even in one of the old moneyed neighborhoods, it's located north of I-30, just inside 820. Bizarre.

Here it is for those who are curious:

I watched about a minute of it while flipping through the channels and promptly changed it. There was another lame show I watched two seconds of while flipping called Texas Women. Not sure where it took place but it was dumb.

I hadn't heard about this show until earlier today when I saw someone's facebook status mentioning it, so I watched it tonight. I wasn't impressed and will not be watching it.

Unfortunately one of my BFF signed up to be on this show. Fortunately she and her daughter are the only ones to me that didn't come off as complete caricatures (so far anyway). That said most of these women have made the "reality show circuit" and anyone with half a brain that watches shows like this would realize it's fake entertainment anyway.

Yes, it seem over-produced to me..

I liked the shot of the Dallas sky-line and some of the neighborhoods though!

I've played that course in the 1990's. Front nine winds through a very nice older neighborhood. Back nine is amongst section 8 housing complexes. On a lot of holes the kids would jump the 10 foot fences and steal your ball.

That show about "Dallas" is probably produced by someone from California, who thinks we're all ranch owners, with no teeth, cattle horns on our pickup trucks, etc.
