Well guys, we are all settled in from Seattle. Now the kids (10 and 3) and I are bored. We are looking for something to do today and tomorrow. Sort of an end of summer thing, since school starts Monday. I need to stay within 15 miles of Richardson. My car is not dependable and I don't like to wander to far from home.

Any ideas?

I'll be at Hawaiian Falls tomorrow w/ my kiddo's. I've been letting friends know and the kids have called friends to come out too. Come on. I'll pm you.

Other things to do:

Come help me clean house Which I need to get busy doing and off this computer so that we can do Hawaiian Falls tomorrow. LOL!!!

Have the kiddo's done their back to school thing yet to find out who their teacher is? Most of those are this week.

You can take the DART rail straight to the Dallas Zoo. Pick it up at one of the spots along 75. You can take picnic lunches here to save some money.

The Dallas Aquarium in the West End. You can also take the DART rail to here and it is INDOORS! This is a COOL place to go and the kids will love it.

If you just want to window shop then head to NorthPark Mall. You again can take the DART rail and then they have a hopper bus to take you from the rail station to the mall.

If you want to be outdoors then head to the mall over in Garland, Firewheel Town Center. There is an outdoor play area for the kids.

Bowling (Plano Super Bowl on Ave K), Roller skating, ice skating, a park. Get your camera out and take the kids up to Prarie Creek (take Campbell west from 75-Central, turn right on Prarie Creek and go down a few blocks to the waterfall on your right) for some great photos. Hmm, maybe I should do this later on after we get the house in order. Go play putt-putt golf - Adventure Landing on Coit between Campbell and 190 (check on their website for coupons).

Thanks for all those suggestions. I am going to have to check them out and decide what to do. The open house for school is tomorrow at 3. So, we have to be done with our adventures before then. Today seems to wasted away on my job search. I am happy to say that I got a job offer. Just not sure that the wage is good for this area. It is less than my Seattle wages and that is dissappointing.
