My husband and I are relocating to Dallas (from Nashville) in the near future for opportunities in his job. I was drawn to your post bc of the title "North Dallas", but am not familiar with the places you named. I am actually not familiar with many places... that is why I am here! His job will be in Coppell and I have been looking at areas around Coppell (Grapevine, Southlake). We are in our late 30's with 3 young children. Looking for good schools, good dining, good shopping, great neighborhoods, etc. Any suggestions?
My husband has been told Flower Mound in addition to where I mentioned above, but I haven't heard much about it. Any thoughts on that as well?
Thanks!!!

Flower Mound would be a great place to start , it has a great school system and it is a very nice and family friendly suburb .

All of the areas you've mentioned are excellent. There are lots of families in these towns. DH and I have lived in Grapevine for 10 years now and we love it here! You really can't go wrong with any town in NE Tarrant county. Flower Mound is also popular, although it is a little more isolated than the others.

What is your budget for a house? Grapevine starts at $200k, Colleyville about $300, and Southlake about $400.
