They might have the occasional bus that runs a loop, but really the answer is "no".

Never saw any but may be I wasn't paying attention. Do see buses & bus stops in Dallas and Plano.

Hum...I'm going with no...well not that I noticed anyhow. Texas isn't really known for public transportation like you think of in the Northeast. Now Dallas has a fair amount if you're looking to move some place with public transportation.

"Good" public transportation is a relative term. There's no forcing cities built around personal auto ownership into a mold like NYC or Chicago.

But I think given these and other constraints, DART does a fairly good job of providing public transport to the area.

The far north suburbs -- Allen, McKinney, Frisco, et al. - opted not to pay for DART. (Yes, if you want public transportation, you have to *pay* for it!).

Plano, Carrolton, Richardson = all are on the DART system.

No. Unfortunately there is no public transport in Allen. I like having access to it, its a basic necessity for a city.

Nope, no DART (that's our public transportation in the DFW area) in Allen. What most folks from Allen do is drive down to Plano (Parker Station) and hop on the red line to get downtown. I've heard that the city of Plano has wised up to this and will be putting policies in place to prevent non Planoites from using DART (as much as they can) by requiring a sticker be placed on each vehicle that parks in the DART parking. You can only get this sticker by providing proof of residency. I was on a website for Allen and read outraged comments from the people of Allen about this. I thought well you didnt pay for it so why should you get to use it? Isnt that being a parasite/leacher???

For now they are mooching off Plano's Dart services. Their first priority was football.
