How much damage did it do your place?

That isn't the point. Several here have stated they've lived their entire lives in this state and never seen a tornado. I move here and 2 months later, I see this right off my balcony.

Like I said, no one is obsessing over it, but they are a possibility.

PP mentioned lightening. Our storms and flash flooding would concern me more if weather was that much of an issue.
Yes, that's true. The weather here in general is pretty radical.

My dear, you saw thunderstorm clouds. Those happen in a lot of places.

It was a funnel forming, I know what thunder storm clouds look like. I watched the whole thing forming. I have 3 sequential pictures if you want me to post them.

lady, I am sure it was scary, but not every supercell (which is what you photographed) is a tornado.
You know how many supercells just like the one you showed happen in places where tornados are rare as hens teeth? I saw clouds like that -and scarier looking ones- growing up in Austria every spring and summer but I never heard of a tornado (though I learned they do happen over there, too)

See, that's not fair. I've lived in Texas most of my life and I've never seen one. You suck! J/K. Actually, I'm jealous. I'd like to see one.

Eh...are you sure that's just a supercell and not a wall cloud? What she photographed looked like it had definite tornadic potential. I've never even seen a wall cloud or a funnel cloud.

Not sure if anyone has told you this but even if they have, it bears repeating.

If you ever see a tornado, don't photograph it. Seek shelter immediately.

When there is a tornado watch/warning all the news channels break into regular programming and will tell you where the tornadoes might come down are already down based on radars and on the ground spotters and they will continue to do breaking news weather for hours straight if need be. It's all very exciting.
