So the guys who were supposed to pour the acid showed up. I stopped them from doing it. Between them getting in touch with their boss and me with the lady at the pool company, the work being done now is that they drilled holes on the spots that were seeping water. Then they took off about 2 inches or so of plaster on the very top of the pool because what they'll do is re-plaster again.
I have an inspector coming in a couple of hours to look at the pool. I need his unbiased opinion to feel comfortable for whatever happens next.

As far as paying already, the contract said I had to pay the 4th and final payment before plastering was done. Since this is our first pool ever, I had no idea about moisture like this, particularly on the walls, could be an issue.
I don't mind messaging whoever would like to know which pool company this is. I have to preface by saying that I don't trust easily; I just can't take a builder's word for whatever it's worth. But this builder has really not giving me much to complain about. Also, I have to say that I speak Spanish and am home all day, so that too has helped in making sure things turn out how I want them to turn out.

So the inspector said that water seeping through the wall is not normal. There has to be a way to pump out or suck out all the water near the pool that is going through the wall. This inspector was great!! Not really an inspector but a specialist on pool leaks so he knew what he was talking about. What I learned for the long run is that I must water my yard just enough. Just enough so that our grass gets the water it needs but not so much that the rest of the water drains into the ground which will then work itself into the pool. It can also be that there was not enough gunite blown into those areas. I

am so glad I called him and even MORE glad that when the pool construction manager showed up, this inspector also happen to show up at the same time. The construction manager seemed a bit stunned that I had hired someone to inspect the pool. Throughout the whole time the inspector was giving his opinion and talking, the construction manager was just quiet. I asked him what would be done and he said he needed to talk to his managers. I guess we will see what they come back with on Monday.

I'm amazed the plaster people plastered over problem water seepage. That is mind boggling.

Is there a chance you have a leaking irrigation line?

Good luck with all this.

In the future don't sign a contract like that again. It's 100% normal and necessary to have some sort of hold back money only due the contractor when they are done and you know everything works perfectly.

Murphy, no it is not with Artisan. And as far as a leak with the sprinkler system, well, they put in pipes all over that area for drainage for the pool and for the sprinklers that they destroyed. I will keep a closer eye on the grass in that area to see if it feels damp especially cause right now we are not turning on the sprinklers on that side.
