Relocating and spouse will work in NW DeSoto and wouldn't think anything North would be an option...

It's a very subjective question and it depends on your price range. DeSoto has some very nice areas. So does Cedar Hill. Parts of Oak Cliff are really nice too.

Check out Kessler Park/Stevens Park, Winnetka Heights and Bishop Arts District in North Oak Cliff.

Lakeridge in Cedar Hill would be a great location. Desoto also has some great neighborhoods. Red Oak would be a possibility.

Ovilla may be another option as well.

I'd recommend Winnetka Heights, Cedar Hill in Lake Ridge (are schools a consideration? If so, you'll want to look at Midlothian), and Ovilla. There is new construction in some of these areas, too. Thanks.

One more city would be Grand Prairie. There are some beautiful communities close to the lake.

Also, air quality is pretty poor in the south part by Midlothian/Red Oak etc. So if that is important to you, you may want to research it further.
