Which HS are you refering to?
Heritage High School is being built in the northeast quadrant of the district – north of ElDorado and west of Independence near the fire station.

Lone Star is being built in the northwest quadrant of the district/northeast intersection of Teel and Panther Creek.

These schools are scheduled to open in 2009 with 9th and 10th graders. Heritage should relieve Liberty High and Lone Star should relieve Wakeland.
or
Liberty High School - Redhawks
- Opening as an off-site center in Fall 2006
(Planned 2007 Fowler Middle School location).
3801 McDermott Road, Plano, Tx 75025
Moving to the new Liberty building location in Fall 2007.
15250 Rolater Road
Frisco TX 75035

you all sound like us, we'll have 2 middle schoolers and 1 high schooler. We have friends that moved into the Trails. Their son is a senior, and even though they are in Wakeland HS district, Wakeland did not have a senior class since they are new, so their son went to Frisco High School. The transition was smooth for him, even tho starting out in October. Their daughter goes to Griffin and seems to have adjusted just fine. I think there will be so many new students coming into the schools next fall from summer moves that it won't matter which one they go to. I prefer established schools since all the extra curricular activities will be in place, libraries stocked, things already set up. We've been through a couple of new school openings here in FL and they always need to catch up on getting the school "stocked" during the first school year.

Here's the school district website, there is boundary info there www.friscoisd.org (broken link)

Default Centennial

Hi! I have two boys at Centennial High School in Frisco. It has been open a couple of years now. Liberty HS brings a lot of students here for extra-curriculars and electives because they are in a temporary building this year. Centennial is nice. The main school is one big building (I went in Plano and my school was 5 buildings--more like a college campus). Overall, we are happy with it.

Default Frisco Liberty

We have 1 at Liberty and 1 at Clark MS and are very pleased with both. Based on Frisco still getting infrastructure put in, I recommend living north of McDermott and south of 121. This is actually in Plano but in the Frisco school dsitrict - so you benefit from the Plano infrastructure and Frisco schools. If you live between Coit & Independence, you will have Folwer MS and an elementary school in your neighborhood and the new Liberty campus is 5 min away. If they play basketball, it will be a great situation - Liberty is fielding a varsity team for the first time and will have good boys & girls team based on this season's JV play and incoming players. Football team will be strong as well. Girl's coach is from the midwest and played in Ohio I believe.

Sounds like so many people in the same boat that we are in. We are moving to Dallas from Ft. Lauderdale (Weston) Fl in two months. We have a boy going into 8th grade and a girl going into 5th. We loved Frisco when we started house shopping, and now we are focused on the schools. Any ideas about a gifted and talented program? Right now we are deciding between private catholic schools in Plano, or public schools in Frisco. I would love some feedback.

For talented and gifted I would do public in Plano.
