I see on his web sight he will be in Dallas On June 13th at the American Airline Center on Victory Ave. Is anyone here going to see him? Also, I have some questions...

1- are there any hotels nearby that a person could stay in that comes in from out of state to see his performance..

2- Taxi service to and from there to a hotel?

3- what is that area like?

(I would only fly in the day of his performance and leave early the next day so that is ALL I am interested in.)

The W Hotel is right next door ($$$$). The entire area is fairly new. Victory Plaza is between the W and the AAC (resturants and shops). You won't need a taxi from that hotel to the arena at all. You would actually be closer than some people that park in some of the AAC lots.

Also the Ritz Carlton and Crescent Court hotels are close and in walking distance - although not across the street like at the W. This area is upscale.

I tried to get tickets the other day and not many were left, mostly the very expensive ones. You might see if the concert is not sold out.

Look on Craigslist, RazorGator, Stubhub and a few others.

Just looked on StubHub and they range from $129 up in the rafters to $1,765 to be right on the floor in front of the stage.

Just my kind of luck! I was willing to blow $1000 for the whole trip if I could work it out but it sounds waaaaay out of my range. Reckon I will have to be happy with watching his DVD's! His Vivere Live In Tuscany is the best I have seen yet! I LOVE that one. I was dissapointed with his In Canto as that is only like a slide show doctmentary type video. Nothing of him actually singing except for the background music..

Don't give up so fast. The floor seats are gone (I'm going). But they still have Plaza level tickets for less than $300. If you go a little further from the immediate area, you can find a much cheaper hotel, look in Irving. Taxi ride between airport/hotel/AAC/hotel/airport would cost you more than renting a car.

He is worth every penny. Do you know who is opening for him?

Yes, you are giving up too easily.

According to Hotwire in the downtown/market center area on June 13th, there are hotels ranging from a 2star for $55/night, 3star for $49, 4star for $79 and 4.5star for $120.

Seems a budget of $1000 is very doable. Are you driving in or flying?
