Moving to Irving, Texas in June, and we want to know the scoop on the public schools there. Also, This September, our kids will be in 9th and 6th grades.

Is the district OK, or should we begin searching for a private school?

You mean "this August" as we start school in Texas on the last Monday in August.

What specific schools are you talking about in C-FB ISD?

If you are in the Irving area you are referring to Bush Middle School and RanchviewHS for those ages mentioned. Both are IB schools. Also as for HS the kids have the option of applying for programs at the other HS in the district. Criminal Justice/Law, Business, Bio-Medicine Academy, Radio,TV, and Film academy etc. (I don't have the exact names but they are out there and available). The schools in Carrollton fair quite well in general. All of the schools also offer wonderful music programs as well.
