How I don't miss our backyard...it became a swamp when the downpours occurred.

I think Texas will have to be covered by an ocean before the drought is officially over.

That map is also a week old. I think it will look a little different next time that map is updated.

True.
Yesterday was sunny but it rained a lot after sunset.

But overall DFW is able to handle the excess water than the bayou in Houston.
Many folks from Houston posting their cars completely under water.

I've actually enjoyed the rainy weather, except for the fact that my car doesn't like driving across standing water at all, and I've only been able to ride the motorbike once since I fixed it a couple of weeks ago, and I have to mow the grass more often than I'd prefer... There are a few cons, but I much prefer what we've been having to hot summer days.

I've been pretty appreciative of the rainy weather. I think I like the rain compared to 100 and sunny. I'm glad that drought conditions have been alleviated. Between 70-85 and sunny is great though.

4 more bodies found after Texas flooding

More than 7 inches fell overnight from a line of thunderstorms that stalled over Dallas, which is in its wettest month ever recorded at 16.07 inches.
