I enjoy a little rain here and there as well, especially in the warmer months when it cools things down a lot. Just don't care for any type of weather extremes, be it cold, hot, wet or dry! Now, if I could only order it that way...

Take care all!

Ah yes, the time of year I wonder why the heck I live here.

I'm going to Nashville this weekend and I checked the weather--they are all "Heat Advisory" for 94 degrees. Meanwhile, Weather.gov for Dallas just lists the 100+ degree days this week as "Hot"

This is the hardest part...it's so hot, yet we have another month to go. Then September comes and all the fall stuff starts coming out and you think, "surely it shouldn't be 95+ at this point," but you still have another 3-4 weeks to go.

What is everyone complaining about? This summers have been great, the evening breeze is amazing, and the daytime heat is much less than last year.

There has been a constant lowering temperature trend in the last few years in Dallas area, which is a welcome sign.

Are we expecting Dallas to be bay area weather like?

What am I missing?

Not missing anything. Texas summers are hot, even when they're less hot than some of the brutal summers we've had recently. I think it's normal to be over it by mid-July and to yearn for cooler weather.

The next three weeks are the best weeks of the year for a single person. Time to meet and mingle!

Of course, I'm married now.
