Boy, I never thought I'd see the day when Dallas (106) would be hotter than both Midland (99) and Big Bend National Park (96)....y'all have all my sympathy for sure.

Yep, and this was the summer we actually moved to Dallas... our "Welcome to Texas"... and, we stayed!

So, folks, don't be bashful, do tell us,

Just how hot is it?

Well, this 2nd hottest Dallas summer is *our* family's "welcome to Texas.". Can't wait to see what Fall weather is like...sigh.

It's not necessarily the second hottest summer. At this rate, it'll likely break the record. This is only August 1 and it just hit 110. I don't see it dropping below 100 for a while unless there's a tropical storm.

Check out the beginning of this thread which started July 13, 2009. It's always hot. I swear that I've never enjoyed summer here any year because of the heat and duration. Sure, this is a killer year and worse than some but to me, they all leave something to be desired. They're lacking the adjectives cool and short.

Has anyone ever told you that you complain way too much?
