The HOA governing document clearly states, All television antennas and other antennas and aerials shall be located inside the attic of the Residence constructed on the Lot. Satellite dished one meter or smaller may be placed on the roof.

We are in Frisco. The management company manages 9 subdivisions and surprised no one has brought the fcc rule to their attention.

What are my chances?

Thanks

Going to attach a couple files:
- The letter that worked for me with send-to info and contact information
- The pic of my house from street level (you can see the antenna and the FCC ruled in my favor)

Your chances are guaranteed so long as you are trying to receive the signals in your DMA (direct marketing area) and you have a typical stick antenna of the type used on houses for 50+ years.

If you posted here, you're irate - and that's good. Go get 'em

Hello rob666,

Thanks a lot for the quick response and appreciate the photo and the sample letter. Made my life little easier. Looks like the links on the fcc website are dead. Will keep you all posted.

By the way, the antenna is not even visible from the street, it is way behind the elevation roof line.

Thanks again, I did find that page but the link to guidance to petition is broken but your letter is better.

Thanks for the pics. There should be no problem with that antenna on your house.

Sadly, this means that someone walked behind your house (or one of your neighbors is on the board) and reported you.

Next place I get will not have an HoA. If they just stuck to maintaining the grounds, picking up trash, and coordinating the occasional snow removal that would be awesome.
- This over-reach is ridiculous

Thanks Rob, and I do understand they are trying to maintain the subdivision without an eyesore, but this is my house.... Let us see where this goes and I will let you all know.
