I know what you mean. I'm in San Antonio and I'm tired of bringing the plants in and then back out again. Luckily mine are not too big. I've been doing this for years, but this year we've had a lot of freezes. One time I just put them all together on the patio and covered them with an old shower curtain.
I only have 8-10. 45....wow
I just hauled mine in and left them but do have a few outside that I jut cover when I can remember. My Sago palm did take a big hit when we were out of town. ;(
Flamingo, Ketabcha and Bob, my heart (and my heat) goes out to you. I've read how bad Dallas got hit with this latest cold blast. And, even though Virginia and Massachusetts are used to cold weather, this season has been so much worse than normal.
I remember getting $600 heating bills when I lived in Taunton MA. That was in the late 1970's -- I cant even imagine what it must cost now.
Me too, although it really doesnt affect me now that I'm retired. But I feel bad for everyone who's working or otherwise affected by the spring-forward.
With all this cold weather, I'd forgotten about DST starting up again. Thanks for the reminder, Bob!
