Well, I ran my errands. Temp got up to 50 degrees so it wasnt bad at all. In fact, it was downright refreshing, especially since the last week has been so dreary and warm.
We've gotten 6-7" so far and it's still coming down - temps. are supposed to go down into the single digits tonight! Virginia is NOT supposed to get this - stay safe everyone who is getting "stuff"

My brother-in-law, who lives near you, posted a photo of the snow at their house. He said they'd gotten 8 inches of snow at that time and, like you said, it was still coming down. And the single-digit temps in March -- you're right...no one should be that cold in March. Stay warm and dry, Flamingo, and please dont try to shovel the snow.
Thanks TFW - my shoveler came by when there was prob. 4-5" - I suggested he might want to shovel that and then come back when it ended to do it again (it was wet, heavy snow) - I said I'd pay him twice of course - that's what he did and after the second time he thanked me for the suggestion as it had gotten icier so even heavier. I'm in until this stuff melts some (it is supposed to be warming up after today/tomorrow)
Hope this is the end of the bad weather for both you, Flamingo, and Bob.
It's rainy and cold here. Of course, "cold" means the 30s at night and the high 40s during the day. Supposed to rain through Tuesday but warm up a bit. Thank goodness Queenie doesnt mind going out in the backyard in the rain. Other dobermans of mine (usually the males) acted like they'd melt if one toe got wet.
Edited to add: That reminds me of a wonderful dog I had years ago. He was fully house-trained and had a doggie door. But several times I'd come home from work to find a big puddle of pee or poop right inside the doggie door. I couldnt understand what was happening until it rained while I was home one weekend. I watched him stick his head through the doggie door (getting his head wet in the driving rain) and leave his "business end" in the kitchen. In his mind, feeling the rain on his face was equivalent to going outside to pee/poop. (Thank goodness I had porcelain tiles in the kitchen.)
