The Villages of Maple Dale, a 55+ active adult townhome community, is having their Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Thurs. 9/22/11. These are new townhouses located directly on an established 18 hole golf course, in the City of Dover. On site is a 16,000 sf updated clubhouse, also. I probably can't attach the link for the new townhouses here because it has a Realtor's name on it, but here is the link for Maple Dale Country Club. Check out their newsletter and all the fast moving activities they offer. Also, this site has a slide show showing the olympic size pool area and interior of the clubhouse. Besides the golf course and clubhouse, the country club grounds have established upscale housing. These townhouses are really beautiful, and you can't beat the amenities with a stick.

And the VIEWS! This community is unlike any other 55+ community I've seen throughout the state! It would be like being on vacation all the time... dining at the club, attending classes in one of the ballrooms, relaxing on their terrace, learning to play golf! I've been in that club many times; we even had our kids' wedding receptions there. It's such a "happening" place, with great food and drinks, too!
I bet these town houses are going to sell fast! Hmmmmm.....

I find that Delaware has some of the best 55+ communities I've ever seen. Several in Middletown with beautiful homes, common areas and clubhouses. Middletown has grown from a sleepy small town to a rather thriving metropolis still with a somewhat small town feel. Opportunities to shop and eat out abound as do Senior activities... and you're only about 1 hour to the beach and 30-40 minutes to cultural activities in Wilmington.
