hi looking2......

Check out our 55+ threads. Theres a load of great information on Heritage Shores in there.
Drnoman has visited and posted first hand info.
I do know a couple that have lived there for 2 years and love it. The only complaint is they have to go far to shop.

Does anyone know why there are so many homes for sale in Cripple Creek Run, Milton? It seems very suspect that in this small community there are approximately five homes on the market (not too many more than that in that section). There are very expensive homes in there and nothing seems to be selling - it seems there is something more going on in there aside from high prices!! Are there problems, health hazards, etc. going on in Cripple Creek Run?????

I'm new to this type of forum. Just visited milton and loved it for all good reasons mentioned in the forum. I see many comments are now 10 years old . Does anyone have an update on the air quality, mercury/coal plant, or info on fernwood builders (heritage creek)?

There is another development in Milton called The Vines of Sandhill. There are several builders there - D.R. Horton, Lane Builders, Lockwood Design & Construction and Capstone Homes. I don't know anything about the first three, but we have a Capstone Home in Lewes and have been very happy with it, though we've been in it just 6 months. After 5 years of window shopping, that's the builder we chose - they're not nearly the size of Schell, Ryan, Insight, etc. - but we didn't see that as a bad thing.

Schell Brothers has a community in Milton called The Estates at Reddenwood which appears to feature 3/4 acre lots in Milton. Good luck in your search.

My daughter has lived in Milton the past few years. We visit often as she is on Broadkill Rd. which takes you out to Broadkill beach. A nice little beach that is not crowded like Lewes or Rehoboth. However, no boardwalk and only one small store unlike the more popular beaches.
Schell brothers does have a good reputation as builders in Sussex County.I believe crime is very low in Milton although there is a disabled/senior housing area in town that appears to attract low income renters who commit petty crimes. Otherwise the town is quiet and easy to negotiate.
As noted, you are close to the popular beach towns, not far from Georgetown where alot of business is done in Sussex County, and a brand new hospital recently opened in nearby Lincoln.
I am a native Delawarean who had lived in New Castle & Kent Counties, but would consider Milton if I wasn't happy were I am!

Nice homes with natural gas heat. We almost bought there but opted to live in Lewes.
