People listing their house after only 1 year?

As a realtor I would say the reason people are moving could vary but one reason could be that Denver home prices have been on the rise since 2012, once again this year they are set to rise 3 - 6 %, I think when people see how much they can get for their Stapleton home, they sell up and move either out of state or to another area in Denver. Stapleton is somewhat of a launching pad for many new Denver residents.

I think prices of homes are rising 3-4% per quarter, on average, not per year.

Well, we loved the house after looking for 3 mo in the burbs and recently, Stapleton. Hopefully my fears will go after the inspection.

I appreciate the responses, as we've been house hunting we are aware of lot size, "uniformity," etc.

As for what I meant about "awful" people, we are coming from a cliquey North Atlanta suburb where people in their 40s acted and gossiped as if they were still in high school, and raised their kids to do the same. We don't want that experience again .

A couple of people in an area selling a home after 1 year is not unusual anywhere. There are a few basic reasons.

1: They got transferred on their jobs.

2: They find the payments are more than they can afford, and need to downsize before they get in financial trouble.

3: A family situation that requires them to move from the area.

Those are the 3 most common, and no more than the amount you are finding being resold, it is very normal for this to happen. There are more common reasons than those first 3 I mentioned.

We've been in our home for 1 year. Considering how the market is going we might be selling it soon.... I work remotely so we can move out of Denver to somewhere with a cheaper housing cost (out of CO if that's necessary).
