Well said.. I've lived in a few different states & abroad, I like experiencing the different cultures & lifestyles. Unfortunately, I'm extremely unhappy where I live right now, and really have nothing good to say about it. But I'll just end it at that.

I colleague of mine that grew up in CO just gave me an awesome job lead, I know him pretty well and he said I should fit right in

Once they hit their thirties, many aerospace engineers consider changing fields. The contract nature of aerospace can get tiresome.

The hot industries in Denver are brewing and marijuana. Just a thought for your job search.

Both industries are completely saturated though.

IT is pretty strong here.

Telecom is another big industry here. But it's a very unstable industry as well. I've worked in it for seven years, and twice (at two separate companies) we were bought out by competitors.

B2B telecom is the way to go if you go that direction. Consumer telecom is too volatile and cut throat with all the "chord cutting" going on.

Telecom has always been a volatile world. Good pay though. Communication is always going to be necessary so there should always be jobs.

Meh. I guess that depends on what field you're in specifically. And also what you define as "good" pay. It's definitely not Silicon Valley pay, which is what I'd consider "good" pay.

I mostly worked in Supply Chain (logistics and procurement). The pay usually ranged from $30k to $75k for the non-directors in our department. Some of the Contract Administrators earned bonuses for producing savings however.

Overall, the compensation package (w/ benefits) were always pretty solid when I compare it to other places I've worked.
