I don't know but many private lots (grocery stores, strip malls, doctor's offices, etc.) manage to figure this out.

It's doing that in something the size of the mall that's the issue. You can't just pay a dude to watch the lot.

We're talking multiple garages and multiple levels on each. I could Park there and walk through the Mallon my way to Cherry Creek North.

Then they should offer validated parking to all customers and give them a three hour window to shop instead of one.

Fairly easily, I would think. "No overnight parking." No parking 2 AM - 6 AM. Cars there at 2 AM all get towed. Would solve the issue pretty quickly, I would think.

It's not just overnight parking that's a problem, many daily commuters were parking there and taking a bus downtown, taking up spaces while the mall is open.

But yes, allowing longer but not full day free parking or validating parking for mall customers would have solved the problem without being a money grab from legitimate customers.

As said above, it's not overnight that's the big issue. It's the scores of day users, many walking right through the mall and going to work or shop in Cherry Creek North

Saw this in a publication I read:

Quote:
Gaming revenues at commercial casinos in the United States grew 3.5 percent to $3.353 billion in January according to the latest Spectrumetrix-Fantini analysis.

Revenues are up 0.5 percent over the last three months and 1.3 percent over the trailing 12 months.

Slot win per unit per day grew 3.5 percent as well to $192 while table win per unit per day was up 13.2 percent to $1,876.

Ah, OK. Then parking free for the first three hours, as others have noted? And free on weekends?

(Most of my trips to CC Mall have been on weekends, and I've never had issues finding parking; upper levels were always empty.)

Downtown Boulder/Pearl Street Mall area has not had free parking for many years - anyone consider how that has affected businesses, shopping patterns etc. - is the Cherry Creek Mall area now facing issues more similar to there and downtown Denver (also no free parking) than more suburban style shopping areas?
