Yes, pretty much. In a more normal Winter, it wouldn't be a huge deal really. Due to La Nina this year and last, these type of storms have been few and far between.

Okay. Just middliln' by what I was used to in CT - especially this year (I still have family there). Difference being that the snowplows came out with the first inch and kept at clearing and salting until the storm stopped, then came around and cleared again, even small residential streets. Bit hairier here for those of us who have to drive a ways on residential before we get to the main streets.

Love it! We really needed this and it is still going. On top of it the Jags are up by 10 with the 4th quarter to go. No, I am not a Jags fan.

Edit: Brady being Brady again. Wow.

Yeah, by now we've usually had a half dozen of these.

Plow job was pretty good today. They didn't keep it up though.

I was out from 9am until 3pm or so, and while it could have been worse, I saw my share of spinouts and cars in the ditch (or the wall). Too many people going too slow in the left lane, or going too fast or zig-zagging in the middle/right lanes. Saw a girl with all of her windows covered aside from her windshield.

Going back out in a minute.

Gotta love being behind those people who leave 6" of snow all over their cars.

This one is gaining momentum as it is hitting Denver. The storm is the 3rd story on ABC news tonight--they're showing eastern Colorado as a mess-I-70 closed in both directions. Eastern Wyoming? Visibility as far as the hood of your car. Am glad that the mountains got a pounding, was through the Tunnel and Vail Pass a couple days ago--not enough snow--at all!

Oh, it's better in climates where warming turns those cushions to a semi-solid mass that flies back and hits your windshield like a bomb. CT made it an enforced law a few years back, but not until I'd been snow-bombed a couple of terrifying times. Powdery snow blowback is... nothin'.

We bought a new SUV on Friday and I took it out for about an hour today to see how it handled in the snow. Most people were driving safe. SUV handled like a dream.

Tomorrow morning will be an icy mess.
