One of the better kept secrets, have been reading a lot about it lately.

EAT FAT LOSE FAT

It turns out everything you've heard about saturated fat and the lipid hypothesis of heart disease is wrong.

So says the people who profit off of suckers they sell their fat to.

Did you know, smoking is GOOD for you? There are studies (funded of course by the tobacco industry) that prove that nicotine is healthy and good for you.

Did you know, that slicing your skin with a rusty razor blade is GOOD for you? It's proven that iron is a very important part of your blood - and rust is iron. Therefore, cutting yourself with something rusty will bring iron directly into your bloodstream, and it's good for you.

Did you know, that sticking pencils up your nose is GOOD for you? It's true! There's proof that cedar is a superior wood type - which means wooden pencils, which are made out of cedar, are good. And there's proof that nasal stimulation is very important for brain activity. Combine the two together and you have a WINNER!!!

Now, if only you could smear the pencils with coconut oil, sharpen the pencils with a rusty razor blade, and smoke them like a cigarette...then, you will learn the perfection of humanity, by gum.

Uh, I think the diet is kinda gimmicky....but.........erm, maybe you are overreacting a tad bit??? Maybe the diet does work for some people, different strokes for different folks. Your rant is a little overboard......maybe you should que it down a little......maybe try some of those pills that makes your brain feel better.

Moderator cut: language removed This is just another spin on the low carb diets that have been around for decades, yet it's a "better kept secret"?

Lemon, you are a snake oil salesman's wet dream, you know that? Oh, and I want an answer to the question I asked you here.

Coconut Oil is the only healthy choice to get a medium chain triglyecide. And the body does need one. The suggested amount is 1 Tablespoon a day. It could replace butter on toast, or it can be used as a moisturizer, your skin can absorb it to meet the body's needs.

Exactly, there are a lot of benefits of coconut oil, I am surprised to see such angry and uncalled for responses to this.

Coconut oil is an avoid for my genotype & indeed gave me a headache & stomach ache. Will be sticking with unpolitically correct butter. Whole point of links is to get you to rethink saturated fats. The fact is, the lipid hypothesis is falling apart---- limiting saturated fats hasn't lowered rate of heart disease which has only gone up.

Butter is better for us than margerine. So there's nothing wrong with eating butter.
