What do you think about turmeric?
Also, AIP stands for Autoimmune Paleo or Autoimmune Protocol.

A shame. Nuts are very high in Zinc, which helps fight flus and Covid. Many people have mild Zinc deficiency these days.

That's true, but a lot of people have inflammatory reactions to nuts. AIP elimination phase is not meant to be done forever. It's just that - elimination. All of the most common inflammatory foods are eliminated for a period of time and then re-introduced one by one to see what, if anything, triggers a reaction for you. If you re-introduce nuts with no problem, then you're good to go. If you re-introduce them and have no issues, then you are free to eat them. If you re-introduce them and they trigger an inflammatory response, then the negative health effects probably out weigh any benefit.

I have been on the Carnivore diet for about three months now. I have lost 25 lbs 195 to 170 lbs. Weight loss wasn't the only reason I had for starting this diet. I have had some Arthritis in my lower back for years and nothing I tried had any effect on it. I am now pain free with just a little stiffness when I get out of bed.

I am willing to bet that certain foods cause inflammation in certain people and not in others, and vice versa.

It might be because you lost 25 lbs...

My back pain also went away once I lost a few pounds on a low-carb diet, and my knee pain is also reduced though not quite enough. I don't discount the possibility that the dietary change contributed to that, but I KNOW weighing less will be good for both in the long run.

Carnivore diet. Hadn't heard of that one. I love veggies so I won't be going there even short term. I've lost 9 or 10 lbs in 8 weeks and still (a little) eat clementines, potato, corn chips, and milk every day, and my daily shot of rum. Oh and dark chocolate.
