If you need protein then how about mixing protein powder with water? That is cheaper.

not always convenient at work though, which sounds like what OP is looking for.
fwiw, The trick to getting a smooth protein shake is to premix it and let it sit in the fridge for an hour+.
My favorite brand of protein powder is Pro Jym Protein, not the cheapest, but a nice blend of fast-acting and slow-digesting protein.

Jym has great stuff. Really good taste but not worth the price.

Agree, you have to catch the sales and use coupon codes. In addition to sale prices, Honey and Slickdeals have saved me some extra $$ over the years. Also, utilize the initial sign-up bonus at sites. And for free shipping the subscribe and save feature. Just remember to cancel afterward! lol

I get the Equate plant based protein chocolate flavor. Best bang for that buck. How much is it with coupon?

Quest Chocolate Chip Cookie Protein bars are ether worldly good. I cannot buy them. I bought 5 of them once to drop in my drawer for work for that week for a lunch time snack and as soon as I ate the first one, something came over me and I picked up the next one and the next one and kept going until all 5 were gone. That is 190 cals a bar so around 1000 calories for that snack.

No Quest Protein bars for me.

LOL, I understand that! I've given up the Quest bars because they made my stomach gurgly. I will eat their chips, pricey but good. Sticking with the One bars and Power Crunch.
