This guy does not sound like a responsible, ethical breeder. Don't do business with him, but DO report him to the authorities.
Unfortunately, "rescuing" a dog from this guy only serves to enable him.
Golden doodles are not a recognized breed - they're mutts. There are plenty of young, healthy, well-socialized mutts (and purebreds, too!) in shelters and breed rescues. Better to do business with an accredited, responsible, and ethical rescue and enable THEIR efforts!
