I was looking at an area pet of the week and the worker says that the dog, a couple of years old, "cuddle jumps". OK, in my mind, considering this is a male that has not been neutered, is that he is showing "dominance" or in plain terms, humping. I even tried googling "cuddle jump" but had no luck. He is a great looking larger dog but...............

Are you trying to figure out what "cuddle jump" means?

I looked it up also, with no luck.

Why don't you ask the worker who used the term? You wouldn't want to pass up a great dog if all the worker means is that the dog jumps from one person to another to get his cuddles.

Yes I do I've had a few cats do the "jump in my arms for a cuddle" but since the average weight of one of my dogs is over 70 lbs, I think a cuddle jump with them would be a full body contact sport!

This was the first thing I thought of when I heard the term.

Thanks. This dog really is good size a mix of yellow lab, shepherd and probably some "other". We used to have an American Eskimo that would jump on us when we were on the bed and she was so light-footed and when the cat jumped on us, it seemed like those 7 lbs were 70 lbs!

Used to have a Siamese who would jump from the floor right up to my face when I would pat my chest. I thought it was pretty cute until my friend was there brushing hair off her shoulders when the cat suddenly jumped up at her. She almost had a heart attack and swore the cat was attacking her. Took quite some time to convince them both to calm down and that everyone could be friends again.

I had a cuddle jumper that was a Siamese too. The smartest cat I've ever owned. Our Gator was also a cuddle jumper in his day. I'd pat my chest and he would jump in my arms. He and I were both a lot younger then

That's pretty cool. When one of my dogs is frightened such as from the thunder, he will attempt to climb into my lap if I am sitting. (50 lbs) But jumping into my arms... that's never happened.
