Tomorrow I will be taking a 10 hour round trip drive to pick up the dream dog that I have been wanting for the last 15-20 years- a beautiful German Shepherd puppy!! My wonderful husband's gift for our 6 year anniversary (He surprised me with the idea & is buying the dog for me, but we talked it over before deciding anything to make sure we were ready for another dog)

I couldn't be more excited I have already contacted a trainer for puppy classes, and I hope to get involved in one or all of the following- obedience, nose-work, agility. But more than anything, I can't wait to have my new buddy by my side!

Please send good thoughts my way for the trip, as spring weather in WY/MT can be very unpredictable... I will be driving through lots of mountain areas.

And yes, there WILL be photos lol!!

Can't wait to see pictures! GSD puppies are such cute little fluff balls. Do drive carefully, apparently no one told Mother Nature that Spring is here in the mountains too.

So the breeder allowed the puppies to have the run of the yard at their age without supervision? This sounds very fishy to me, hope you got your money back if you had put a deposit down.

Didn't put a deposit. Sounds like pups were in threir outdoor pen, not run of yard. I also wonder about parvo. Either way. Crushed.

Sounds like they were a backyard breeder or puppy mill. Sorry this happened but next time go find a good breeder and ask lots of questions.

I am so sorry to hear this. If I may give you one piece of advice. Check out German Shepherd rescues for your new best friend. Again, I am very sorry.
