My vet recommends raw carrots, apples and pears (core and seeds removed), blueberries, raw green beans and cucumbers. My dog gives that list 2 paws up!

Many fruits and veggies are wonderful for dogs, but it is good to give a variety and in moderation not to cause vitamin imbalances.

One of my dogs loves blueberries, carrots, broccoli, squash, green beans, cauliflower, peas, spinach, lettuce and apples. The older rescue pup only likes vegetables.

I really didn't think I had to add that! Anybody who has read about canine diet and how to keep them safe knows onions and chocolate are especially toxic to dogs. But since some may not be aware I've included this list.

My 6 1/2 year old Great Dane loves broccoli. She does not like spinach or collard greens. She has been on a diet for three years, so she has tried many vegetables. Broccoli is definitely her favorite. But her favorite food of all is King's Hawaiian Sweet rolls. I have never met a dog before her who prefers carbs over meat but she will take bread over steak any day. That's why we have to watch our waistline carefully

My dogs both like clementines, which many people say is odd.
But as soon as I get a dog, I start feeding them veggies and fruits. I want to keep the dietary options open if they ever run into health problems.

My dogs get a wide variety of both fruits and veggies. A couple of favorites are fresh pineapple, clementines, apples, pears and watermelon season is here and it's a huge hit. Also, they get a few blueberries every morning. Cucumbers and cherry tomatoes are way up on the list.

As for veggies, they all love broccoli, green beans, baby carrots and sweet potatoes. I know I'm forgetting some...my dogs like most all veggies and fruits. I make a sweet potato, carrot and apple mash to use as a topper on their evening kibble.

Just as JrzDefector said, I started my pups early on too.

My dogs get vegetables with dinner every night. Fruit for treats and are great when training them tricks.

My Malti-Poo thinks green peas are treats. He loves catching them in mid-air. And green beans make him smile. I had a Maine Coon who thought lettuce was a treat - and strawberries - you'd have to watch her around strawberries, she'd take them right out of the box! The first time she grabbed one, it was a huge berry and she ran off into the corner and hunched over it to eat it like it was Steak!! so funny.
