My friend of 13 years left me last evening. He was such a great dog, the best friend I ever had.
We knew Leo would be going for about a month, just not the exact time. Yesterday he took a turn for the worse, and we had to finally let him go.
My heart is breaking.
My only solice is thinking he is now free to run through fields of ferns, rolling over and
laughing like crazy as he lays them flat. That was one of his favorite past times while he was here with me.
I'm so sorry for your loss. You did your dog-owner job though and let him go before he suffered unreasonably. And it sounds like he had a happy and well-loved life with you.
This pain is still fresh and will fade to something more bearable in days. I am still mourning my old girl, who I put down in April. Everything reminds me of her. But it's mostly happy memories and the pain of loss has taken a back seat.
I'm so very sorry. Our Dover was put down last December and I still see him everywhere I look. His brother actually looks like he sees him in one special room of our house. It's so sad. Knowing you did the best for your furbaby is the best feeling. I know he loved you very much. Hugs ((((Terradown))))
I'm so sorry. I know it hurts, I lost my baby boy a month ago. The pain will get better. Hopefully the two of ours cross paths up in those fields Sending lots of hugs your way.
So sorry to hear this. Your sweet boy is running free over the bridge.
