Does anyone have any suggestions as to what type of dog my baby is? We rescused him, and his breed does not matter to us, but we are looking to rent an apt/home and it does matter to them. Some have told me they think he is boston terrior, and some a pitbull, while others say no way.Any suggestions would be helpful. Thank!

Funny... Boston Terrier & Pit Bull is EXACTLY what I was thinking! Might have something else in him, but I bet those two breeds are in there.

Definately pitbull and with those big cute ears he is something else...but does have the pitbull face and head. Cute doggie! His breed is the best! Unfortunately idiot people have ruined this breed. It took my nieces girlfriend a year to find an apt. that would take her with her pitbull even though he is sweet. Such a shame bad people ruin it for good dogs.

French bulldog and pitbull are the first breeds that came to mind. Then I thought the side view of his head looked like a miniaturized Great Dane - ??? He is so totally beautiful no matter what!

Unless someone docked his ears those have to be German Shepherd. The face is unmistakeably AmStaff but the coat looks like either a Dobie or a Lab... That's a tough one. He looks like the child of passion of a child of passion for sure... Just tell the apartment he's a lab mix.

I would call him a lab mix - altho' German Shepard might be there, too. Those ears look just like my GSD's. Gooid luck!

We call dogs like that one Genuine Kinardly (as in you can hardly tell what kind of dog it is). Very rare to find one at the shelter.

OMG...those ears!! Fabulous!! He's without doubt Pit and I'm with jimboburnsy thinking some Shepherd mix. Of course, you don't want to mention either of those to a landlord or insurance co. I'd stick with the standard "lab mix" and even throw in Basenji, which could explain the ears and help imply there'll be little barking

Good luck!! (Nom those ears for me, would ya, LOL!!)

The ears are classic shelter pit ears. In standard they don't have those ears, but in shelters where most dogs are pits you see those ears. Some one on my Pit Bull forum made a whole thread for people with Pits with bat ears to bost pictures. And they NEVER get old. If I had to guess I'd say a Pit/Lab mix. Very well call him a Lab mix. If you put him down as a Lab mix at your vet you have paper work that has him as a Lab.

Though I would make sure of the rules of your appartment. If you own your home it doesn't make a difference unless you live in a state/city that has banned the breed.

He is an absolute doll. I love those Bat ears. Congrats to your new addition!
