Are there any other reasons for a spayed Yorkie female to drag her butt on the pavement besides having worms? It seems to be only during the dry AZ. months that she does this. She also licks her upper lip while she drags her butt.

I always get my vet or my groomer who is excellent to do all the anal stuff. Usually a sign their glands are full when they scoot their butts...could also be something else of it persists.
I agree with the anal glands call...our groomer used to be the one who addressed this matter but we found out from our vet that they we not doing a very good job. So, we skip that at the groomers now. My neighbors dog drags her bum all the time too but her issues are allergies...she seems run towards our yard when coming outside but instead stops in our gravel driveway to do her dragging...yikes...it makes me cringe everytime I see her do it. Those rocks hurt my bare feet but I guess it feels okay on her bum.

Yup allergies is another reason. I hope they are doing something about it and have her on a vet recommended diet.
I'd go with anal glands as well, but are you positive it isn't worms? Not all of them can be seen except with a fecal.
And off to the vet with ya!
