Raising a famly is sometimes hard. If you truly have nobody to help you, ask pet lovers here to contact you if they are in your neighborhood I would be happy to drive to your home and walk your dog for you. If that fails, call the local no kill shelter and see if they have volunteers who could help you out for a few weeks until you are able to get around better. It's OK you deserve it.

Good idea - thanks! You're very kind.

I do have a couple friends who can take her out sometimes, and there's a neighbor girl who loves dogs that I can ask. If I'm ever strapped in the next 4-6 weeks, I will also post here for locals.

Why not OVER the bed?
That would be a variant of the over-the-sofa indoor agility I do with one of my dogs. He literally jumps over the sofa to get me to then throw the ball upstairs.

Do you have anyone you could call and ask if maybe their teenage son or daughter could help you out and walk the dog for you ? I would try that rather than trying to take care of the doggy yourself . good luck and get well soon .

I would if I could - my space is small (2-room finished basement), and the bed is in the corner.

BUT, I will ask the housemates (they own the place) if I can use their stairs (between 1st & 2nd floors) to exercise her on.

They have a 7yo black lab that my dog plays with, also.
