Thanks, I never knew that. I thought once they were neutered they didn't have those urges.

My two females do it to each other and I stop it whenever I see them. I just don't have much experience with boy dogs.

I used to think the same thing, until my dog Johnny explained otherwise. Consistent correction at an early age solved the problem.

I get daily dog tips from Dogster. One last week stated that humping can be a sign of a UTI. I had never heard that before, but to be safe, I would check it out.

My maltese, Casper, was neutered and never humped anything EXCEPT this one stuffed bunny that he liked (loved). He would just go to town on that bunny . . drove my mother CRAZY. Probably why I continued to let him do it . . .

Anyhoo, one time I took him to be boarded and, of course, took his FAVORITE bunny. They thought they would do us a favor by washing it before he came home . . . and he never touched it again. Never found another friend like her either . . .

Poor Casper.

My friend's dog was a major humper. Then they got him neutered and now he still humps. Now he bites while humping. Guess he got mad they took his nads away.
