I dunno - we still have not yet agreed whether there is or is not some magical effect of wealth.

What do you think?

Just noting the reality that veterans have a higher homeownership rate than other Americans, and that VA loans are easier to qualify.

A homeownership group that promotes homeownership and interprets data in way that benefits them the most. Shocking.

If homeownership vs renting were the most important metric for determining student achievement, why do test scores continue to rise as income rises? Folks who make 200k a year have kids who achieve at higher levels than those who make 100k or 150k and yet all 3 are likely homeowners.

Whole lot of correlation going on there - income and homeownership are highly correlated,

But homeownership CONTROLLING FOR INCOME does appear to have a positive effect, so it's not all about income.

i dont know them and i dont care what they say. what do you mean by suggesting that "we" should promote home ownership? the opportunity is there; it is up to every individual to make it happen. you want the government to give you a house?

You can buy trailers but trailer parks exact lot rent, so I don't really see the point of owning a trailer.

An apartment you own is called a condo and comes with its own baggage.

You fix it yourself, but then again you've been told that a thousand times yet you're too lazy to do anything about it.
