Well, I don't see too many jobs that are advertised as paying $1 million a year.
So, I wouldn't even know how to apply to one.
Brain surgeon, pro athletes, CEO's, top lawyers in the country, top tier actors, and the like. There aren't that many people that earn a million a year in income.
The people who foam at the mouth about taxing the rich more would be a rude awakening to find out how few people that would actually impact. That's why it's never anything more than political talking points to brain wash dumb people and never something that gets voted into place in the House and Senate.

exactly .... many dolts have no clue, they just whine that life ain't fair....
If it doesn't impact that many people (and they're all rich by multiples), it shouldn't be a problem to raise their taxes back to where they used to be, right?
Is it possible to find out, (For Adjusted to todays Dollar) how many % of the American taxpayers, earned more then $1 Million in salary.. going back 100-200 years?
If you exclude capital gains, dividends, inheritance etc etc... Just personal income.
As of today, only 0.1% of all Americans have $1 Million or more in personal income.
How many where there 100 years ago? Or 20-30-40-50 years ago?
For salary alone, it's going to be less than most people think. Those that make a lot of money make it, in addition to salary (1) bonus, (2) stock based compensation, or (3) business income (K-1's for lawyers, accountants etc. at the big firms, Schedule C income for a lot of other professionals).
If it doesn't impact that many people (and they're all rich by multiples), it shouldn't be a problem to raise their taxes back to where they used to be, right?
I figure anyone who has worked hard enough to become a CEO of a multi-billion corporation, making 7 figures, has earned it. Even keeping every penny of it wouldn't be worth it to me to work 80+ hours a week, make numerous major moves throughout my career, sacrificing close human relationships, and have the stress and responsibility of a huge corporation on my shoulders? Nope, no amount of money is worth that. Life is too short.
