Oh yeah they had 7% inflation, the largest GDP the world has ever seen, and were the most political, cultural, financial, and militarily influential country in that era. I can see the similarities.

You clearly don’t understand what the program is or what it is actually for.

If the program fails, another one will replace it to do the same thing it does today.

And America lost a world war and had 419 provisions in the treaty of Versailles directly aimed at punishing it and owed massive debts in foreign currency rather than its own in a gold standard era.

It’s the best when people make these ridiculous comparisons.

I don't care what the program was or is for, or what they intended.

The program manufactures poverty so the government can come and "solve" it.

You know what the best insurance against poverty is? Wealth. Socialist Insecurity hinders your ability to accumulate it.

Well choosing to remain clueless on the topic doesn’t really do any good, for yourself or anyone else

The road to hell is paved with good intentions. I'm interested in outcomes, intent is irrelevant.

Currently, there are less than 2 taxpayers for every recipient of public entitlements.
When that drops to less than 1 taxpayer for every recipient, "something" will break.
Either a taxpayer revolt or a recipient riot.
