You are a riot. Just one more year in a run of many........the pattern has been clear for years.

Also, as noted elsewhere for the first time ever TX+FL+GA+NC+SC+TN contributed more to GDP beginning in '21 than the 13 state + DC corridor.

You’re a kite dancing in a hurricane, Mr. Bond.

The OP's link, which I quoted from, was about data from United Van Lines. Your link was Census estimates.

And I should note your own link also featured just 1 year of data:
Quote:
New Census data analyzed by the American Enterprise Institute shows that eight of the 10 states losing the most residents from April 2020 through June 2021

The OP link also references 1 year of data also so don't see much difference there. But the data from the Census is much more scientific than the data from a moving company - not everyone uses moving companies.

The interesting thing is that CA is the top state for move outs on one list and not even on the other.

Sure there is.................moving from higher cost of living areas to cheaper areas! Top 4 plus MA are all high cost areas, and the whole list of inbound are cheaper areas with the exception of Colorado.

So what? Using last year data available to underscore a trend is SOP.

Here's a more detail look at one year. To anyone with a sliver of honesty and integrity it destroys your absurd claim above about no pattern.

Longer term info to squelch your other deflection.......2010-2020 in percentage terms so you'll have to think hard. While keeping in mind all of this has accelerated since this data was compiled.

For most blue states, especially those with large populations/large cities population trends, GDP contribution, AGI shifts etc. paint a bleak picture.

Florida is not in the top 10 of inbound states? Neither is Texas? This seems very strange to me. Enough so that I don't trust that this list has any relevance.
