I've seen Circuit City and Radio Shack decline in foot traffic over the years. Best Buy seems to trump these guys.

I shop online rather than deal with Best Buy. Faster and cheaper, even with shipping.
I end up so aggravated after a trip to Best Buy it's not worth it. It's impossible to get a sales clerk, when you do they know nothing, they're out of what I want, etc.
I'd rather hit newegg.com or mwave for electronics. Plus I can find stores online that have specials on free shipping and that don't have locations in Tennessee so I can avoid paying the 9% sales tax. That can save a lot.

I have been a Newegg cumstomer for eight years and never had a problem doing business with them.

Newegg is great. They're my go-to site when I need something. And they're carrying more home electronics these days.
I also like compgeeks.com (they've been around for ages) and mwave.com. Geeks and Mwave are in California so I don't have to pay sales tax. Mwave lets you select the bits and pieces you want in a computer and then they build it for you for $80 more. Do great work. The Geeks are one of the earliest online stores and have all kinds of refurbs and closeouts and discontinued stuff at good prices.

There are just so many better deals online than these types of stores. I used to shop at Circuit City but that was before I had a computer. I can't remember the last time I shopped there now.

The best part about online is you don't have to deal with some pushy salesman either, I don't like how some of these stores send a guy to start trying to talk you into something when you just want to browse in peace.

Empty big box stores. I can understand the reason for shutting doors for these stores (personally have not set foot in a CC in well over 10 years).
