Ironically, in sports that do not place an artificial salary cap (therefore actually destroying true competition, which rewards survival of the fittest), the good players do consistantly go to a handful of teams, and while that doesnt always guarantee a title, it does guarantee they are competitive. Check out major league baseball. Every year, the Yankees will sign about half the top free 5 or 6 free agents, and every year, they will be championship caliber.

If the world were populated by people like you, we would never have great change. I wonder where wed be if Martin Luther King Jr decided that "things sucked" but "what could he do about it, and he might as well just sit at the back of the bus and make the best of it, because thats the world, and things arent perfect."

Martin Luther King Jr sat in the back........and formulated his thoughts and speeches while he was doing it, and now we have Civil Rights.

Correction, we live in a world where you are OCCASSIONALLY rewarded for working hard, preserving, and taking care of yourself. Those facts are no guarantee of reward, and often, the hardest working people, are those who are the least "rewarded" of all.

To be fair, almost nobody actually understands Communism or Marxism, and think they are synonyms for socialism, facism, state run capitalism, or any various others.

You miss the point continuously. It is not a matter of being "handed" something, its a matter of "not having" things taken away. My right to survive should be based on my own hands/mind, not based on what the capitalist deems neccessary to give me, or who I know.

Randomdude,
No offense, but I stop reading your posts once I found out you were a socialist. You must love the way our country is headed right now.

What world are you living in?

Certainly not in this one, if you really feel that way?

People are working harder today and get no bonuses, pay cuts, pay freezes and they are rewarded?

The big Corporation giants took huge risks with the CDSs/derivatives causing an insolvent financial system yet get billions put into their pockets.

They probably are sitting around playing golf right now with billions in their bank accounts.

I have no idea why you feel if you work hard you will be rewarded.

Today at work, I got a "spirit recognition email" for all my hard work (and the 14+ hour days I work and weekends). WOW a spirit card! While at the same time on the brink of likely getting laid off like everyone else at financial institutions. LOL.

Thats a good thing because then you wouldn't have to worry about him calling in sick, doing his job right, staying off the internet while he was supposed to be working, worrying about him getting along with other employees, worrying about how to fire him without facing a lawsuit, etc.

Obviously not the same world you are living in. You do realize we are in a deep recession right now? Sure, there will be job losses, pay cuts, pay freezes, etc. Thats what happens in recessions.

Perhaps if you don't like your job you should move on? My hard work, dedication, and perseverance has paid off for me and all of my friends, family, and just about everyone else I know who have the same work ethic/ideals about life.

I'm set for a very long time... now I'm working on helping others. How about you?

Deep recession. Thats what companies do during hard economic times. They have to do whatever it takes to get by and survive. The means lots and lots of job cuts, pay freezes, pay deductions, etc. This is life. Everyone is at fault for this recession. Government, banks, and greedy Americans from all walks of life buying homes, cars, etc. they knew they could not afford. The best thing you can do from this is learn from it... just like I had to do many years ago. Guess who is in a good position to ride this thing out? You guessed it... people who prepared for it.

Next question?
