Bullying: Worse in middle or high school?

In my time we had junior high school, which comprised grades 7 through 9. On the first day of 7th grade, all the 9th graders looked absolutely huge, given the normal course of adolescent growth. To the extent that small stature is a factor, which it undoubtedly is in the case of physical intimidation, middle school or junior high has to be the worst. I experienced maybe two incidents of real bullying when I was in junior high.
