If you look at the rapid growth rate of all the Texas cities it seems likely 1 million is not far away.

Sure, but you miss the obvious, all the other major Texas cities had a substantial growth rate, with the exception of El Paso. Also Corpus Christi, Harlingen, Laredo, all border towns did not fare as well as the other cities.

Humm wonder if people are trying to get away from the boarder and the BS they have to deal with along it.. as has been discussed in many topics here? Language Barriers, Low Pay, Feeling like a minority? to name a few.
