I figured since the republicans now have a majority in the House they would have solved the nation's unemployment problem by now. What's their problem?

Do you actually believe that more of them will be any more effective? They weren't the last time they had the reins.

Haven't you seen the latest job report?

It will take a while to dig out of the hole the dems and obama have created - trillions in debt and millions of lost jobs.

The way Republicans are acting lately kind of reminds me of Joe Pesci's character in "Goodfellas". You think you are on your way to being made, and then BLAM. Guess we will see what happens.

I don't understand what the advantage would be to having Republicans controlling the Senate. What good did they do the last time they were in control?

So, then, you are saying that the House republicans have fixed the economy since November?

Yes more time, that's what we need. Yes Barack Obama, all by himself in the past 2 years has created all of our debt and problems. Let's ignore the previous President's and Congress' on BOTH sides of the aisle who helped create the fundamental problems that are plaguing America now. We also can't forget the Fed and the giant corporations who are behind the scenes dictating national policy.

But no, you're right. The GOP will get it right....this time. If not this time, then next time, we definitely need to keep reelecting them and giving them more time. They just need more time.

They're working on it. What they have done in the legislation that has passed, is give the people some certainty as far as their taxes go, certainty that obama's radical agenda has been stopped cold.

Obama has added $3 TRILLION to the debt in just 2 years, since pelosi has been in charge, over $5 TRILLION.

"Radical agenda"? you mean like not letting GM go under and putting another three million out of work?

According to the posts I read on this board, as soon as the democrats took a majority in the House while W was still the Thief-in-Chief, the country fell apart. The republicans have had as much time now as the dems had when the disintegration allegedly happened. I expected them to have everything completely shipshape by now.

If we are not close to 100% employment by now, the republicans have failed. Again.
