I don't doubt that. I know there are probably also pockets in this country where white people would have difficulty getting service in some establishments. I'm not suggesting it's good, or right...but we have to take the bad with the good. Free market capitalism has a lot of benefits, along with some bad.

LOL @ "more of a Bill Cosby type."

That's funny. Do you really think that a black person is going to show up looking for a place to rent in their Angela Davis and Eldridge Cleaver costumes?

All people are dichotomous when need be. There is a side of me that can show up to a job interview in my best Bill Cosby iteration and you'd never be the wiser. But when i need to flip, i'll flip. You're judgment is pretty questionable on this one.

In any case, i understand your overriding point. But i disagree.

I was pretty clear about that... just as long as they stay under the rock.

That is a point I did not think about. When an openly racist business catches a fire and the only firemen at that moment are black...then they should not get inside the building and rescue people. The same with black medical people in case of an emergency. Or black police men. If I was black and saw that sign, I would not help.

Unfortunately, Herman Cain is hedging his bets and going with the neo-progs on this one, though I doubt he would support the idea of frivilous "racism" among private homeowners being choosey about their tenant.

Then, let us just wait until the whites here are a minority and see if the tune changes.

Meh, you call it staying under a rock, I call it not being stupid and openly declaring you won't rent to thugs or white trash.

So, if a redneck hick tries to enter an intercity club primarily catering to AAs and is denied service, can he sue?

If he's denied because of his race, yes.

What the hell is an intercity club anyways?

When they cringe at the light, I can't help but enjoy the moment. White trash or not. Besides, why do you assume that trash comes only in one color?
