Ronald Reagan was 70-78 years old during office and survived it and he was in worse shape than Ron Paul

Reagan was 70 when he became POTUS. He left office with Alzheimer's, who knows when it started.

Paul would be almost 78 when he starts his term. Sorry, no one - I'll say that again, NO ONE, is capable of handling the decision making pressures and stresses of a first term POTUS at almost 80.

I seriously doubt Ron Paul could win the Republican nomination this time around, but his presence is a good thing since he pushes unconventional ideas into the mainstream. If anything, Ron Paul is paving the way for his son, Rand Paul, to run and win in the future. Rand Paul is already more liked and accepted by mainstream Republicans. He could definitely win the nomination in 2016.

i am a Ron Paul supporter. The only politician who i genuinely like vs hold my nose and vote for. My plan is to vote for like minded politicians at all levels of Government. But even RP can't help us if we don't as a nation change our attitude.

One caveat also, if we are truly on the USS Titanic, and the economy has to go through the severe corrections necessary, if he is in charge Folks will put the blame on him. The same crooks would get back in power.

i thought about your caveat also.

my conclusion is that we are going to go through a major correction (no matter which candidate is elected) but i think the most important part of getting through what awaits us is having a president who 1) respects our country, 2) looks out for its citizens, and 3) is consistent in all of his actions.

ron paul has demonstrated all of the leadership skills we will need to get through what is going to be a very difficult time.

there won't be any surprises with ron paul, and i think our country would get on track a LOT FASTER with his guidance than any other candidate i can think of. if there are improvements and reform, people will be hopeful again.
