Republicans lost due to running a crappy candidate that was more liberal than conservative and as such failed to excite truly conservative voters. It would seem the party learned little from their last failed election and are determined to present the voting public with another candidate that is anything but conservative.

Those that don't learn from their mistakes are destined to repeat them.

"Republicans lost due to "

not running a candidate that would win the independent vote. Conservs are an insignificant minority at the national level, and with presidential elections turning out 60% not 40% of voters they get a representative picture of the nation. TP cannot do math, must be their poor, backward school systems fault. 71 of 140 electoral votes in states like Colorado will decide 2012. Not Texas, nor California. Purple states reign.

You're right.

'0', none, nada of these current GOP candidates are inspiring. They all are void and lacking real 'Statesman' quality. I could not be a true American...and cast a vote for any of them. And Worse for the Dem side!

They will never understand that, Bob. I really think the party needs to divide and let the chips fall where they may. If you run the type of candiate the Tea Party wants to run, we can't win with them. If we don't run the type of candidate they want, they are going cause problems the entire time by slamming them and spewing constant negativity.

I agree, dixiegirl7, and fear even after their kind of man/woman gets McGoverned in 2012, they will still be unable to count to 270.

Not everyone is going to hate Mitt Romney just because you do. He makes a lot of sense for the nominee to logical thinking people. .
You and I must watch different shows. It was repeatedly mentioned that Romney couldn't get above 25% while they were wooing all of their other unannounced candidate choices. After they went through about 5 of them, and were rejected by those people, now all of a sudden Romney is the electable one. Romney was there from the get-go. Why were they wooing all of those other people to run (and one Vice President in Marco Rubio) if Romney was THE ONE? Romney didn't change. They just ran out of Princesses to take to the ball so now Romney is their date by default. They even sent Christie to bring him a corsage. They'll make him into the best candidate by denigrating the other candidates, glossing over all of his flip flops, the same flip flops he had in 2008 that they put down when McCain was their boyfriend and by saying Romneycare is no big deal. Who is the real Mitt Romney? He's changed his position so many times no one knows what he stands for but they will convince you he's the only one that's electable. Forget about the opinion jockeys. Listen to what"s coming out of the mouths of their panelists and analysts.

There are some people who do support Romney as hard as that is for some to believe.
Republican does not equal conservative.

Laura, Head to head w/ BO, MR is neck and neck. Cain is BO's lunch, as is RP. As would be MB or any other TP wanna-be.

Head to head is the World Series. Primaries are the pre-season. Lats I checked, Cards are going to WS no matter their March 2011 record. 270-the only # that counts.
