Only one smiley can describe Newt and most of this field:
And it's like it gets worse and worse.
I listen to Michael Berry in Houston from time to time. I can't stand his politics (he's our local Rush Limbaugh so to speak) but he is insightful when it comes to politics.
He made it a point to say the worst thing that could happen to the GOP right now is the rising of Newt. He has so much scandal on him, he will be reamed. This in turn will put the Republican Party in a negative light.
Obama has been the winner of every debate thus far, and he seems to win by a larger margin every time.
I tried to tell everyone this is the problem with Newt. He is the gift that just keeps on giving. There is no way the GOP will let him anywhere near that nomination.
Newt's not in any danger of actually getting nominated. For one he's not actually running, he's on an extended book tour and paid vacation. Second, there's a month and a half until Iowa, which means his turn as the notRomney will be over just before voting begins. Sadly that won't leave any time for Santorum to have his turn, but c'est la vie. Also, the GOP has written off the Hispanic vote almost entirely, so Newt saying something inflammatory about them won't really amount to anything.
