I agree with others, and I am also concern with Ron Paul winning the Iowa caucus. The published letters of his are disturbing, and with what Gingrich pointed out in a CNN interview ( Ron Pauls publishing), his campaign could be a disaster for our society.
Yet another person terrified of The Great Teleprompter losing trying to create an issue out of a non-issue...
Wow, so you can predict this election AND future elections. Thats f'ing awesome, please send me a private message with next week's winning lottery numbers.
You people that like to rant about Ron Paul supporters being "kooky" and unrealistic sure are interesting...its like you all have super natural abilities to predict the future...just like Dion Warwick and that guy that predicted that the world was going to end earlier this year. Someone should call Webster's, I think you just redefined the word ridiculous.
That is not just my opinion, but many experts opinions. It is a big concern for the GOP in Iowa and the future of their caucus. Iowa has lost some of it's importance over the years anyway...it controls very few delegates in the overall picture, but because it is first it garners a lot of hype and media.
There is no prediction involved in what I said. Maybe you are the one who should look up the meaning of the word. It should be obvious that if Ron Paul wins Iowa, especially after Huckabee came in at the last minute and won it last time around and then basically did nothing the rest of the campaign except help split the votes for McCain's advantage...candidates in the future will not pour their resources into it and will not spend so much time there.
Here is a prediction for you though, if Ron Paul wins, you will see some changes in their voter registration rules in the future.
How is that a problem? Paul is most popular with the most influential voting bloc - the independents. Any primary that allows independents, he's going to do incredibly well in.
You must have missed the part about having to be a 'registered Republican' in Iowa. An Independent is not a Republican last time I checked.
the truth is iowa doesnt mean much. 28 delegates at stake, and if paul wins by a similar number it means he maybe takes home 1-3 more delegates then everybody else.
the problem with the paul people in iowa in 08 is they left after the vote and didnt stick around to nominate delegates which is the most important thing. thats what happens with relying on the youth vote. winning iowa is secondary to nominating as many paul delegates as possible. but nobody knows about that. nobody is talking about that.

I can see Dr. Paul winning the whole thing, or even winning in a third party bid should it come down to that. That is to say if it could be guaranteed that there would be no fraud in the election process ...
If Ron Paul wins in Iowa it will not bode well for it in the future as far as candidates pouring resources and time into it.
Dear Ann Romney,
You should not be so hypocritical. So if your husband wins IA, it is all fine and dandy and expected, but if it is Ron Paul, whom the people voted for, then IA itself is screwed? That's not very nice of you.
Just because Paul does not want to bomb foreign citizens and have their blood on our hands like your warmongering flip-flop-flipping husband wants to, does not make him bad, OK?
What I haven't figured out is why we let other parties and independents pick the GOP/Dem candidate.
Register Republican and suffer with the donation requests like the rest of us.
It brings more people into the party. If 100 people newly join the party to vote for a certain candidate, chances are 90 of them will stay in the party as long as the candidate remains in the party too.

90%, you must be joking..In fact people who switch parties just to vote for one candidate rarely stay with that party or if they do, it is because they don't bother to re-register, but they do not stay loyal..
