You know what's funny? The media and the GOP Politburo tried similar smear tactics against Rand Paul in KY, and nothing stuck and he ended up winning the general election. i have no doubt the faux smears contributed to some exposure that eventually turned positive, instead of negative

Yup, and some of it on the same exact issues, I remember Rachael Maddow getting all worked up over the whole support/non-support of the CRA. You think that they would have learned.
Ah, you are right. The original was deleted from Paul's site, I guess after he realized what had happened.
Here is a cached copy of it from Paul's site to enjoy.
Ron Paul Endorsed by Eminent Pastor Rev. I can use the same arguments that have been presented, guilt by association. the candidates can not control who endorses or who his supporters are etc ,etc. And all those are valid points, would you agree?
I would like the campaign leadership Jesse Benton or others to make a statement distancing the pastors statements from the beliefs of Paul. Myself, I am not going to be swayed from some pastor that preaches a false gospel of hate to sway me from my support for Paul.
And I hope his campaign points out clearly that the pastors agenda is not even close to theirs.

Exactly, hence why I said I can't take the words of someone seriously who thinks all tea partiers are racist because one prominent white supremacist says he's a tea partier.....it's all guilt by association, and in this case indirectly it seems

"While he said he and Paul disagree on gay rights, noting that Paul recently voted for repealing Don’t Ask Don’t Tell"
The endorsing pastor flat says he and Dr. Paul have different views on gays, so I guess he is endorsing Dr. Paul for some other reason than Ron Paul = death to gays as the OP would like to imply.

What will the liberals try to make up next now that the racist and gay bash smears are, predictably, not sticking?

OOOps I missed that one thanks for the assist The campaign needs to learn to be extra carefull considering Paul is under scrutiny from both sides.

I'm quite sure we will all need large and durable shovels to dig through all the BS that will flow should Dr. Paul keep gaining momentum, and god forbid he wins a primary or two it will really get deep then.
